Jayce
I just took one light with a refelctive umbrella, Homemade beauty dish and grid spot. So I dropped the stand and started shooting. Again we were pressed for time because as we were leaving we got a call that my mom was one her way over to visit. So we could not stay long.
Comments welcome...
Cheers!

Shelby's Senior Photo Shoot
Ok so I have wanted to do a shoot with Shelby for some time now. She reminds me of one of my favorite models Adriana Lima. I shall not compare the two just that they share similar looks.
Adrian Lima Backstage
From MOD-TV
We shot at a couple locations downtown, because that’s just what I do, but I have not had a chance to process those images yet. So those will be forth coming.
Shelby wanted some pictures at the beach, another place I have wanted to shoot for some time. The haze was incredible once we got to the beach. We drove from 71st Street down to the Flag Ship Hotel which is still out of commission from Hurricane Ike. I liked the location under the hotel and felt the piers would be a nice change to the background. I really like natural light lately and I am trying to shoot more with it. Being under the hotel in total shade, meant that anything out in full sun would be blown out in the final image. I had my assistant (Smish) using a reflector to add fill.

After the Flagship we traveled down to the strand and found a plethora places to shoot at. So we just walked and shot. I am definitely going back really soon to shoot on the strand and in the back alleys. I did use a single speed light and my homemade beauty dish that I thought worked flawlessly and I spent less that 20.00 building it.

Ok I am running out of lunch time so I will post more later… enjoy the images. You can also view my flickr site to see more images http://www.flickr.com/photos/passion2imagine/sets/72157617020233794/

Tayler Bridal Shoot
Taylor wanted me to shoot her Bridal but I declined the actual wedding because you miss so much behind the lens and I didn’t want to miss this dear event. Coby and Taylor many blessing to you. You guys are so fun…
So were to shoot Taylor??? Well Downtown is my studios because there is so much character there. I just love it downtown… I am in search of graffiti if someone knows were there is a good graffiti wall that would bee fun… This day did not produce a whole lot of images. Taylor was stressed because of other commitments and it took awhile for her to make the connection I was after. But toward the end of the shoot the magic made a brief appearance with a little help from the wind… I love wind.
The day came for us to make the trip to Brenham. I had two events in on day so the pressure was on again. I am learning slowly not to book anything else on out of town shoots. Taylor was getting her hair done in Humble so I proceed on to Brenham and planned to stop at Chappell Hill Sausage Company http://www.chsausage.com/ for lunch and wait for Taylor to catch up. This day was cold and blustery. I think it was a high of sixty which was not good for a bridal shoot with a bride in a halter type dress. Can we say goose bumps…?
I only brought the ABR1600 for some dramatic shots I had in mind with the old truck. Misty (my loving wife) had picked up some old suite cases from a garage sale and I brought them along as well to add to the drama. I love drama in the artistic sense of the word. For these images I broke out the ABR1600 and it was quite fun to see Derease bear down to hold the light steady. This is like 30 in salad bowel mounted on a flag pole and with an easy 25 mph wind it was quite entertaining watching her hold it. It was easy to beat the sun with ABR 1600 and created some images I enjoyed.
Bregason's Downtown
The girls wanted a shot with the city in the background and I have wanted to capture the sun set on the city buildings for a long time now. The clouds moved in quickly and created a very dramatic sky. It was not quite what I had anticipated but it was cool all the same. I was so pleased with the girls that we are going to reschedule another shoot for the sunset skyline plus a little more
The girls had changed into their black dresses and I thought of the blue lights beneath the highway down by the bayou. By now it was quite dark and I should have had my tripod. It was beginning to rain and the girls were hungry and tired but they were up for a couple more shots. Being rushed is not fun and I was afraid the bottom was about to fall out of the sky. I quickly set up and started shooting. This is one of the things I have to work on is moving to fast. Someone once said you can’t rush greatness. I say you can’t create greatness if you’re rushed…. At least that’s true for me. I guess once I am as good as Chase Jarvis http://www.chasejarvis.com/ or Martin Pirhoda http://www.martinprihoda.com/ then I can rush….
